Believer, God is always listening to your prayers

Reflections on David
Believer, God is always listening to your prayers
David is really a remarkable person. He was anointed by God as king at a young age. He was anointed beyond all odds since no one expected him to be the ‘king-type’ of person. On the other hand, after being anointed king he stayed for years before officially serving as king. He went through a lot before he could attain kingship. He went through points of success especially in his battle campaigns. He later became a fugitive of his own country yet he was the anointed king. He had to run away to foreign lands and do crazy things in order to survive. Despite all that God’s call proved inevitable in his life and he became king. That shows us to trust the process that God has placed on us with regard to our call. He will work out all for our good and His glory. However, that is not the most interesting part about David’s life for me. His spirituality is primarily my main interest because it almost covers every aspect of the Christian life. The aspects that fellow human beings may fail to understand but often relatable.
His relationship with God is most remarkably unfettered that is no point in time is David’s communications with God marred with doubt on his side. He was always under conviction that Christ is listening. He was listening at both the good times and the bad times. That God was listening when David’s righteousness was in the highest and when his righteousness was in the lowest. When his meditations of the law, his praise to his God, his hatred for sin and his adherence to righteousness was highest, God was listening. When sin marred his life, afflictions buffeted him from every side and his filth was before him God was listening. This conviction seems always was constant in his life. He was always real with God as far as it was possible. If the situation demanded that he cried he would cry to God till his pillows were wet. When praise was done he would never hold back. When repentance was expected, he did it with all his heart and in no time would he doubt that God is listening. This should characterize my life as a Christian and will greatly affect how we view God. God's doors are always open for us and because of Christ they will never be closed. Praise be to His wonderful name!!!
