Shocking, right!? This is the assertion that I have heard a number of atheists that are in Kenya confidently state in public. Before I can go further into the subject I wish first to affirm my admiration for the attitude in the atheists in our country. Majority of our country seeks to crucify them. I recently watched a video of an atheist being chased by police and church faithful in western Kenya for stating that God is a figment of their imagination. They have been labelled as witches and demon possessed. There are other evidences in Kenya that suggests that this country is largely not ready to accommodate atheism and yet the atheists are still fighting for their recognition despite the fierce opposition. Suffering and sins are the main reasons for the outcry. I weep that suffering in this world is inevitable whether one is rich or poor. How Should Confession Look Like? James 5:16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another that you may be healed.             The preceding section of this verse talks of one who has become sick. James states that this person should be prayed upon so that he or she may be healed. He also seems to suggest that in some cases, the sickness may be due to sin. So when the person is prayed for they will not only be healed bodily but also spiritually that is; their sins will be forgiven. Hence, how will they be prayed upon so that their sins may be forgiven if they do not confess their sins to others? Therefore, James directs his readers to confess their sins to one another. He not only suggests that people should confess their sins to one another but also that those who have heard the confession should pray for the one who has confessed.     Are you a spirit lead person? What does that mean? Romans 8: 1 – There is therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh , but according to the spirit.             Them that are not in condemnation are those who are in Christ Jesus. Paul goes on to describe those who are in Christ Jesus as those who do not walk according to flesh but according to the spirit. Therefore, walking according to the spirit is being in Christ Jesus. What then is being in Christ Jesus? The whole other chapters before this verse explain how we are reconciled back to a holy and just God despite we being sinners and being worthy of divine justice (wrath). Reflections on Daniel: Postmodernism, the New Nebuchadnezzar             This is an age that is faced with a similar situation that was faced by Daniel. Daniel was faced by a king who demanded that the Babylonian gods be worshipped. He was convinced that the gods of other nations, including Israel’s, could not compare with the gods of Babylon. Anyone who defied worshipping the Babylonian gods would even face death because they would have both denied the king and the gods. That would be referred to nothing else but utter disrespectful defiance. One may ask the how is that similar to our world - I mean isn’t that kind of dictatorship absent in many of our countries.
